Every year, dozens of day-of volunteers contribute to the success of our event. As an event volunteer, you bring your smile and enthusiasm to the day, cheering on our participants as they run, walk and FLY to the finish line. We have many volunteer roles available. Volunteers are needed throughout the event, from setup to breakdown. Group volunteer roles and positions for children, teens, 55+ and families are available. Should you have any questions, please contact us.
Help get ready for the big day by assisting with event set up. Help unload and set up tents and tables, hang banners, signs and more. Option to stay and volunteer during event if desired (please make sure times don’t overlap). Full details on volunteer position will be sent the week of the run.
MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE. Assist with checking in online registrants, registering walk-up participants or offering merchandise (for donations). Includes distributing run items, ringing in transactions (on provided device) and more. Full details on volunteer position will be sent the week of the run.
Manage various activities throughout event. Includes hospitality table, snack station, craft station, raffle, photo backdrop, organization info tables, assisting with Super Kids’ Dash, Heart Hero Parade and Heart Angel Remembrance and more. Assist with all aspects of run route & start/finish line: run route volunteers, 5k/2k route leaders, water/aid stations, finisher’s medal distribution and more. Full details on volunteer position will be sent the week of the run.
Assist Event Coordinators during entire event-perfect for those who just want to lend a hand wherever it’s needed. Be able to assist with all aspects of event: setup assistance, activity/ entertainment coordination, run route assistance, on-site errands and more. Must be willing to assist with all various positions as needed. Full details on volunteer position will be sent the week of the run.
Assist with tearing down booths and activities, signage, tents, loading vehicles, cleaning up garbage and removing signage and water stations off route. Other volunteer positions can fill this role. Full details on volunteer position will be sent the week of the run.
Planning a Superhero Heart Run is a lot of fun, but also takes a team, planning and dedication. We are looking for passionate people and CHD-focused nonprofit organizations who are committed to raising awareness and funding for Congenital Heart Defects (CHD).
