Programs

Support to your Heart Hero and your family begins when your CHD journey begins.  This is usually paired with many visits to the cardiologist and hospital. Our goal is to walk beside you every step of the way.

Heart Hero Capes

It's more than just a cape when it adorns the shoulders of a child fighting CHD.

Totes of Hope

A special care-kit for each pediatric heart patient having heart surgery at Children’s Hospital Omaha. You can support this program by donating much needed items from our wish list and by making a donation.

Camp Brave Heart of Nebraska

Heart Heroes makes it financially possible for every CHD child in the state of Nebraska to attend Camp Brave Heart. This life-changing teen camp is in partnership with Children's Nebraska & YMCA's Camp Kitaki. Talk with your cardiologist about this opportunity or email Jenny Strawn at jstrawn@childrensnebraska.org for more information.

Inpatient Meals

In partnership with Chick-fil-A at 76th & Dodge, monthly boxed meals are provided to inpatient heart families at the local Children’s Hospital. Currently these meals are delivered on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, the same evening as the scheduled "Healing Hearts" group.

Wiffle Ball

This free program is designed for children ages 5–14 and introduces Heart Heroes to wiffle ball and baseball in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. Practices and games take place in Omaha, NE. For more information email info@heartheroes.org.
