Super Fundraising Idea #16: Need a hair-raising idea? How about a no-hair idea? Head shaving fundraisers are fun and gets people and kids motivated to see their favorite teacher or indivdiual shave their head! After you find a willing participant, set a goal to reach and when it’s reached, set up a event so everyone can see it happen. Know a local barber who is willing to help out? Even better!

Super Fundraising Idea #17: Pucker up, close your eyes and….kiss a pig? Yes, our pink, snout nosed friends are great fundraising partners. Challenge a group to raise enough money and if they do, their principal, teacher or organization leader will kiss a pig! If you don’t have any connections to local farmers who can help you out, consider other animals like turtles or your neighbor’s slobbery bulldog. If you have a local zoo, that’s another great organization you could team up with! Maybe kiss a elephant?!?

Super Fundraising Idea #18: Every parent needs a night out. Set up a babysitting night fundraiser. Team up with a local teen organization to help! Advertise to families that they can drop off their children for a small donation for a few hours. Places like schools and churches work great as they have plenty of room and children’s toys and activities.

Super Fundraising Idea #19: Team up with your local sports team (little league or professional) to raise money for Heart Heroes. For example, for each goal scored from your child’s soccer team means the team’s business sponsor donates a cape. Many cities have AAA baseball teams or semi-professional football and soccer teams. Approach these teams with the idea that for every run scored or touchdown, one of their main corporate sponsors would donate a cape. Check out our blog on a local soccer team in Lincoln, Nebraska who did this for their little league team.
