You have your team all signed up. You are supporting your Heart Hero for the Superhero Heart Run.
Now what?
FUNDRAISE! There are so many benefits to team fundraising for the Superhero Heart Run. And now, that includes an awesome heart shaped key chain and a beach towel if you fundraise enough. To get to that point, we have some ideas and tips for you.
Fundraising Tips and Ideas:
1. Ask through an email
Simple, huh? Have you asked people you know? Send out an email to your family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc and just ask for them to support you and your cause. Maybe they even want to join your team! Make sure to include your link to your fundraising page through Active.com.
2. Ask through Social Media
You may already be doing this, but pump it out there on Facebook that you’re participating in the Superhero Heart Run (go ahead and tag us!) and that you want to raise money for CHD awareness. Facebook hits so many people you know (or people you may have forgotten you know!). So post it. And then post it again.
Twitter and LinkedIn are also two other great ways to get the message out. If you haven’t thought about those avenues, now is the time.
3. Work Support
If the place you’re employed allows, ask for a fundraising day or a time where your co-workers can stop by and drop off a few bucks for your team. There are many ways to fundraise through work, including bake sales, raffles, jeans days, etc. While you’re at it, maybe your organization would want to become a sponsor? It never hurts to ask.
4. School Support
School is beginning to gear up and that’s a great time to reconnect with teachers, your child’s friends (and their parents), the PTA, etc. Ask if there is a way in your child’s school to raise money for the Superhero Heart Run. Even a plug in the school newsletter would help get the word out.
5. Create your own T-shirt
T-shirts are a great way to have your team stand out at the Superhero Heart Run. Create a tshirt and have members of your team buy them for themselves, and sell them as well.
Do you have more ideas? Let us know! We would love to hear them.
Good luck and see you at the Superhero Heart Run!
